Downstream Gradually Enters Holiday Mode, Spot Copper Transactions Remain Sluggish [SMM North China Spot Copper]

SMM, January 20:

Today, spot copper cathode in North China was quoted at a discount of 260-180 yuan/mt against the front-month contract, with an average discount of 220 yuan/mt, down 10 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices were 75,020-75,270 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,145 yuan/mt, down 875 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. During the last week of the Chinese New Year holiday, downstream enterprises in North China have started to take holidays one after another. Stockpiling was sluggish, overall market demand was weak, and spot transactions entered a sluggish state.
